About Us

There is an interesting story as to how we got started working with antique ceiling tins. My father-in-law's Dry Goods Store located in Wisner Louisiana tumbled into ruin one day! It was abandoned and the ceiling fell in due to years of patching with heavy tar. The old tin was salvalged as I realized that it was to beautiful to throw away. I was hooked from that day on  and am constantly on the look out for this wonderful building material. We have been working with them since 1999.

If you would take the time to check out page 40 and 41 of CUE Magazine at the following address, it will tell our entire story.     http://de.printrelay.com/gambit/cue/07_08

These tins come from old school houses, drug stores, banks, opra houses, saloons, churches, etc. We have even had tins with bullet holes in them! These tins are so popular that there are some companies reproducing them today. Naturally the new ones don't compare to the antique 100 year old finishes and textures.
